Better World Recycling

Better World Recycling, donation box says "for profit company". Formed in 2009 in Charlotte, NC, current address is in Salisbury, NC. Maryland registration shows:

  • Better World Recycling, Inc - registered on September 24, 2015 and forfeited Dec 4, 2017
  • Better World Recycling, LLC - registered Apr 23, 2018, forfeited Oct 16, 2020
  • Better World Recycling (trademark) - registered Nov 5, 2018, expires Oct 23, 2023, owned by Main Source Trading, same person and address
The first two show the Resident agent in Maryland is Ahmad Ramounieh (aka as Roman Amad), 8701 Darcy Rd, District Heights, although there is no evidence that he ahs ever been a Maryland resident as required by Maryland law, while there is plenty of evidence that he was not. For example, he registered Better World Trucking in NC on May 10, 2014 giving his address as Charlotte, NC and then Better World Recycling in Georgia on May 14, 2014, giving his address as Augusta, GA. See Website which implies that it is a charity ("Helping less fortunate") but also see this article and this one. In 2013, this company, with Ahmad Ramounieh as owner, got in trouble in Columbia County, Georgia for claiming to be a non-profit. And see here.

There was a court case filed Oct 6, 2017, Prince George's County vs. Better World Recycling of Salisbury, NC. It resulted in a $2,091 judgement against Better World Recycling.

Some of their new bins (red) only have the phone number, no other identification.
